Noel Preparations Started in Norway In Middle of Year
In Norway Christmas preparations began six months before December 24. Families used home resources to supply food clothing and furnishings. Leather footwear and cloth were produced at home with local tradespeople visiting for craftwork. Even children helped craft tree ornaments and gifts reflecting the legend of the Christmas rose linked to a girl named Madelon and the three wise men.
