P-TA Night Meet Features Xmas Program and Bond Talk
The P T A met in the high school auditorium on Monday evening December 12 at 730. Mrs Johnsons second grade led the program followed by Rev Austin H Dillon on Cooperation Between School Home and Church. Mr Cain spoke on the school bond issue urging voting and registration December 17. The event included readings skits songs and the Christmas play with multiple students participating and the entire class performing. Coffee and cookies were served in the Home Economics department after the session.

Alpine Steer To Fat Stock Show
Lorene Uranga of Alpine will exhibit a Hereford steer at the 1950 Houston Fat Stock Show and Livestock Exposition to be held February 1 through 12 at Sam Houston Coliseum. Exhibitors compete for more than 45 thousand dollars in prizes with top money in the fat market show. Deadline for livestock entries is December 15.

The final meeting of the Scout master's Basic Training course occurred during an overnight camp at the W. C. Kouitz ranch near Toyahvale on December 17 18.
