A petition by W J Yates B J Dantzler and fifty two freeholders led Brewster County Texas to order an election on December 23 1911 in a specified Alpine subdivision to decide if horses mules jacks Jennets and cattle may run at large The voting places are the Alpine Court House Precinct One and the Mexican School Two County Judge A M Tunney appointed W M Sanford Precinct One and B F Nichols Precinct Two to supervise the poll.
