The Dallas News argues against expanding salaries and offices for a larger court system, stating it burdens taxpayers and benefits office seekers. It urges the incoming Legislature to pursue drastic judicial reform to relieve taxpayers from excessive costs and inefficiencies.
The display featured twelve cement road models 30 by 36 inches illustrating road construction stages from earth preparation to finished surface. Models showed earth roads with proper ditches and typical graded roads after rain, burned clay roads, asphalt treatments, sand-clay hardpan road, surface and trench gravel roads, limestone burnts, two layered macadam, asphaltic variants, and an oyster mud shell road. Also pictured were Dallas county views and local road improvements, plus legal notes on a grand jury subpoena case involving telegrams about intoxicants.
