Alpine Bucks Fall To Pecos Plungers 13 0 On Thanksgiving Day
Alpine Junior High Bucks lose to Pecos Plungers 13 to 0 in a hard fought game played at Pecos on Thanksgiving. Pecos scored in the second quarter and added a second after a completed pass. The Enterprise noted rough play with penalties, praised Moss the Pecos quarterback as a true sportsman, and highlighted Alpine’s missed scoring chances inside Pecos ten yard line thrice in the first period and five times overall. Coach Horace Oliver credited for building a competitive team despite youth and light roster. The Buck’s potential next season under added grade level may heighten district competition.
