Thanksgiving in Alpine a quiet, union service day

Alpine residents observed a peaceful Thanksgiving with worship at First Baptist led by Rev McMillan and Rev Bowles, a sermon by Rev Beery, and a large afternoon football game where Sul Ross Lobos lost 58 to 2 to the School of Mines. Evening events included church banquets, a college dance, and a Masons Eastern Star social with Balmorhea orchestra.
