Prof Edwards held a contest in his room awarding prizes to the top boy and girl for progress in penmanship from September through November. Mr McKellar and family left for El Paso last week. Joe Hannam and family moved here from Sanderson this week. Magpie Eberling and Dixon and Mrs Beakley spent last Sunday in Alpine. Mr Meane has been ill for about two weeks. Mrs Hatch and family occupy the residence vacated by Mr Moore. Miss Annie Wease returned to Alpine Saturday and will be greatly missed. Mrs Moore and children left for Sabinal and will travel to San Antonio for six months of treatment.
