Land title suit listing Texas and St. Louis Railway lands
The petition outlines a land title dispute in Brewster County Texas involving the Texas and St. Louis Railway Company and numerous heirs and claimants. It catalogs many land tracts and patents dating from 1881 to 1907, asserts that the plaintiff and assigns have held peaceful possession for more than ten years, and requests judgment to quiet title and remove a cloud on the title. It names a long chain of prior conveyances and deeds, asserting superior title by limitation and state grants, and seeks process against unknown heirs and defendants. Witness W H Lease Clerk.
