Orient Railroad Plans Near San Angelo to Presidio Route
Judge H Herd of Sweetwater led maps and profiles showing the Kansas City Mexico and Orient Railway from San Angelo to the Rio Grande in Brewster County and onward toward Brownsville and Mexico City. The line runs through Green Irion Reagan Upton Pecos Brewster and Presidio, with 300 miles to San Angelo and 500 miles to Brownsville. Del Rio officials plan a Kansas City conference Aug 24 to attract the Orient Railroad, highlighting Del Rio and the Mexican section’s advantages.
