Fort Davis Notes on Church, Weather, and Local Tales
Fort Davis residents report on Dr Irving and Rev Wister R Smith arrival in El Paso to welcome a new First Presbyterian pastor. The tale covers Miss Thelma Jones healing from a scalding, illness of Jim Shannon in El Paso, plus community antics about bark grafting on an ash tree and local social trips. It notes a mistaken visit by Pat Neff, the Odd Fellows picnic, Fort Davis improvements, a storm cellar built by Marvin Hunter, and obituaries for Mrs A P Truitt.
