No Funds For Park Land Purchase Stalls Development
The article notes the lack of funds for purchasing park tracts. It cites Texas holding title to 3,840.50 acres within the park, plus fringe lands, with a potential legislative deficiency appropriation as the only alternative without private donations of 65,000 to 100,000. Plans from a mid-March conference aim to present permanent improvements to the National Parks director.
