A historical note recalls a discussion on women’s rights with quotes on government power. Mrs Geo W Raines and Mrs J Casner hosted the Alpine Study Club at the Casner home on April 3, led by president Mrs F E Gillett, followed by an engaging session.

Easter program details include songs No 93 70 11 and 13 with Miran Webb Adeline Jones James Derrick and Mary Annis. Sunday school at 10 am supervised by Hord and Collett. Evening preaching at 8 pm on Helps for the Daily Life from the Resurrection. Pastor H Walker invites all to attend.

This week the association appoints district chairs to circulate a petition measuring support for women’s suffrage and men’s stance. Chairs include Mesdames Bird, Linn, Berkeley, Wilson, Stroud, and others across Northeast Southeast Southwest Marathon Terlingua and Study Butte. Early signs indicate Brewster County may swing decisively in favor.

The W M S held a regular devotional and social at Mrs H B English on April 14. Mrs Jas Cotter led the program with assistance from Mrs C A Brown Mrs J H Walker and Mrs J H Derrick. Brown presented a paper on city work Walker shared a Wesley House tale in San Antonio Derrick spoke on centenary work. Mrs W E Anderson closed with a report on the District Conference in Fort Stockton. Twenty three ladies and Rev J H Walker enjoyed refreshments provided by Misses Ade and Mi.
Easter Sunday programs include Sunday School at 9am with children's program, morning worship at 10am on The First Easter Service, special music, and evening worship at 6pm titled Cause and Effect led by Pastor H. J. Reemtsma.
