New Game Law Tightens Protection for Wild Birds and Animals
The late legislature enacted a stringent wildlife bill designating all wild game as public property and prohibiting killing, possession, or sale for five years. Penalties include fines from 10 to 100 dollars and 5 to 30 days in jail. The act also restricts nesting destruction, deer and antelope trade, trapping, and seasonal limits on various species.

Supreme Court Rules in Tolleson v Rogan and Waggoner Land Case
The Supreme Court on a land dispute involving Tolleson Rogan and Waggoner. Tolleson first applied to purchase school land in Scurry County on January 13 1900 but was blocked due to a lease to Brooks Bell. Bell sold to Waggoner August 1900, Waggoner filed transfer and sought to buy the section, Tolleson made two later applications both rejected on grounds of Waggoner's prior sale and purchase.
