Alpine Band Impresses In Odessa Trip Despite Bus Breakdowns
The Buck Band earned praise from Mr. Ren froe and Mr. Sawhill as they performed in Odessa with strong individual parts and evident teamwork. A bus breakdown south of Imperial did not stop their journey, with Imperial School lending a bus and 150 fans plus 25 cars meeting them at the Fort Stockton Marathon Highway intersection to escort the band back.

Irrigation Ditches Progress in Rio Grande Area
Park. Miller reports the Rio Grande irrigation project 66 percent complete with 8.34 miles of ditch in use for about 20000 trees planted. Fill material totals 6000 cubic yards for dikes and ditches as final turnouts gates and culverts will be done by June.
