The Alpine Study club hosted a refined April luncheon at Kokernot Lodge with forty guests. Mrs. F. E. Gillett presided as hostess guiding prominent members from Hl Progreso Blue Bonnet and Excelsior clubs and PTAs. Rev. J. T. Morrow sang two numbers as groups from Miss Britt's Sul Ross college performed folk dances in period attire.

At the election Saturday Jer my Faust and G B Babb were elected school trustees. Eugene Cartledge of Castelon visited Alpine, while a health lecture and cooking demonstration was held at F E Lewis home by Mr. Johnson of Dallas. A dinner was served to numerous locals including the Humphreys Daggett Babb Ellis Behrens Waters Taylor Fahey Weinkaul and Lewis. Dumas family traveled to Alpine for a visit with Lem and Frank Taylors.
