How to Compute Interest

This article explains short time notes from ten days to six months and uses six percent as the common rate. It shows how interest for two months equals 1 percent of principal, then derives amounts for 1 month, 15 days, and 6 days, with a worked example on a 380 dollar note after three months and 21 days. It notes adjustments for 5, 7, and half to four percent and ends with a teaser about bachelorhood.
