Park Expansion Bill Would Open Texas Canyonlands
The measure by Senator Regan proposes constructing a highway from the Bo raceway on U. S. 90 toward the canyon and points of interest, creating a major park at little public cost and yielding gasoline tax revenue. It would include school land and railway survey tracts in Brewster County totaling about 12 000 acres, with private lands likely acquired. Representatives Townsend, Hang, and Waa stat of Abliene support the effort.
