Regular session of legislature closes after lengthy adjournment
After seventy two days of work the Texas legislature adjourned sine die on Wednesday evening about 6 48 p m the first such adjournment in years. Nearly 1 400 bills were introduced and about 400 became laws as the body wrapped up routine business and prepared for a special session. Governor signs some measures as senate commends the National Guard.
