Highland Hereford Sale Set for Nov 12 1964 in Marfa
The 10th Annual Highland Hereford Breeders Association Bull and Commercial Heifer sale is scheduled for Nov. 12, 1964. About 50 registered Hereford bulls and 200 to 250 commercial heifer calves will be offered. Walter Britton will auction, Frank Newsom chairs the sales committee, Jim Bob Steen is secretary, Bill Donnell presides, and Rust Largent is president-elect.

Parish Hall to Replace Alpine Catholic Church Building
Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Alpine will raze its old church built 1887 1889 to make way for a new parish hall for Our Lady of Peace parishioners. The 40 by 150 foot cinder block hall supervised by Frijio Leyva with design by Rev. Richard Lynch will cost about 30000 and finish by July 1.
