Sentence in murder case shocks two-year-old victim’s memory
New York December 26 Joseph Schlem mar the boy who murdered by a 14 year old wife to Jersey City two years ago was sentenced to state prison for twenty years by Justice Kuup. This is the extreme penalty for murder in the second degree. Schiginmer was convicted and sentenced to be flogged but after a year’s delay he got a new trial on grounds that legal evidence favorable to him had been excluded. When the case was called for the second time he pleaded guilty to murder in the second degree and the plea was rejected.
