Iowa County Board Advances Drainage Settlement in 1916
The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors adjourned then reconvened on August 2 1916 to adopt a series of drainage district resolutions. They increased Ignatius Wernert damages from 669 to 700 dollars and ordered costs paid, declared contractor default in Sub-Drain No 3 of Drainage District 3, and set hearings and bids for culverts. They approved school fund loans, fixed engineer fees, and scheduled hearings for multiple districts, with detailed schedule of claims and warrants.
