Des Moines reports the Meadows asylum project to care for epileptics will be ready for furnishing by December and open to patients around February 1911. The colony will start with fourteen buildings on 1,144 acres near Woodward, with future expansion planned to 1,208 to 1,500 patients as funding and construction proceed.

Post Office Safe Robbed in Boone Robbery
Robbers blew the safe at the post office sub-station in the general store run by S. E. Tucker and escaped with 150 dollars in post office funds. They did not take stamps and missed 135 dollars in cash in a bank book on the floor. North Western engineer W. H. Valentine pursued but bullets forced him to seek safety. Explosion wrecked the safe and damage extended to the store. officials believe the robbers fled by automobile and police in surrounding towns were alerted.
Iowa Guardsman Drowned Near Fort Dodge
The body of James Rhodes a 20-year-old private in P Company Second Infantry Iowa National Guard was recovered from a canal near the ramp in Fort Dodge. Rhodes whose home was Brushy near here had recently arrived from Brownsville Texas.
