Mizpah and the Algona M E church pastor’s sermon
An Algona Methodist church service featured Rev. Taylor’s sermon on Mizpah as a farewell possibility amid conference decisions. The piece reflects on church progress, attendance, and unity, linking the Denver arch welcome to the New Testament term for parting in peace. It also critiques government aid and tariff policies affecting farmers and workers, contrasting Indian cattle ideas with labor competition.
