The Duke of Lambay and the Paris Prefectures Tale
In 1863 Paris the Duke of Lambay’s mansion hid a vault and a doomed fate. Henry Shaw the duke’s volatile ex valet plotted revenge after a diamond theft, and M. Claude the prefect exposed the ruse guiding Shaw to Boulogne. The duke’s deathly triumph ended with Shaw dead and a chained, starved hound killer near him.
