Fire destroys Germam Township home of Mrs. Wirtjes
A house belonging to Mrs. J. J. Wirtjes, valued at 1700 and located northwest of Germam, burned to the ground yesterday at noon. The wind carried flames through the upstairs carpet as an open window and fire spread quickly before the family could react. Only a portion of household goods were saved. the residence, insured for 1000, may be rebuilt soon and the origin remains undetermined.
