Richards Trades Threshing Outfit for Moon Auto
A. D. Richards exchanged his Russel threshing outfit for a new $2200 Moon automobile. The Richards family, wealthy farmers, consider the best car in the market a fitting standard. Henry Franzen of Titanka saved two cows from bloat. Dr Ball treated them. Henry Gray’s cow recovered from a bad case. Henry Breckner leaves for Colorado to settle, leaving painting and decorating duties to continue with Martin Jordan on 160 acres of land. He will be paid a salary to manage the ranch.

Unusual Crime at Buffalo Center Slaughter House
A Sunday night break in at Johnson and Engeseth slaughter house led to the loss of all knives and the mutilation of three hogs. One hog suffered nine wounds, another died, and a sow with piglets had a long ham gash. Waterloo bloodhounds were called but found little scent after the butchered work. The culprit remains at large with possible later developments. Titonka Topic notes Joe Bailey’s arm broken at Britt after a game with Bancroft.
