They Must Pay Up on Foreign Corporations Filing Fees

Many Violate Pure Food Law in State Bulletin

Des Moines reports from the state dairy and food department bulletin that between January 1, 1910 and May 1 this year there were 388 convictions for pure food and dairy law violations. The bulletin stresses enforcement, shop inspections, and required sanitary conditions, with officials warning grocers to keep food covered to protect against dust and flies. It also notes the first 1911 tax assessments under new laws show shifts in corporate stock value, real estate gains, and declines in various property classes, plus a Polk County land-supply dream scenario and milling transport debates.
