Stebbins Dies After Long Illness at Algona
Sumner Stebbins died Wednesday afternoon after years of failing health. Born in 1829 in New York, he lived there before moving to Whitewater Wisconsin where he married Augusta Chambers about 45 years ago. The family settled in Algona around 1859. He leaves his wife a bedbound invalid for nine years, three sons George Willard and Walter, and a daughter Mrs C Herman. Funeral at 2 this afternoon from the residence, conducted by Reverends Holmes and Miller. The family receives many condolences.
