Hawkeye Des Moines collision kills two men and injures many

In Des Moines a head on streetcar crash killed J N Thomas and J F Hanrahan and fatally wounded Ruth Carson who is not expected to survive. Thomas died at Mercy hospital. Hanrahan, superintendent of Wagner Construction, died in office. Block signal negligence blamed for the crash as car 361 failed to observe the signal.
