Dried Corinths Debated In A Humorous Store Scene
In a New York Press item a learned grocer in Highth Avenue explains to a girl and customer why dried currants aren’t really currants. He describes corinths as the smallest grapes from Greece, then mocks the notion of washing, while noting the fruit’s sweetness and the origin in Corinth. A stretch of other snippets follows, including a Parisian manicure history and brief comedic exchanges.
