Dairy meeting aims to boost local dairy industry
A sparsely attended dairy organization meeting in Algona heard speeches from Judge Quarton and others urging dairy farming growth. Officials elected included A. E. Clayton as vice president and E. B. McCorkle as treasurer. The gathering highlighted government expert support, local creamery successes, and plans to expand Guernsey and Holstein stock, with several residents pledging future purchases. The session ended with social commentary on Algona’s dairy prominence and a separate report of a local shooting incident in Forest City.
