Day Dunning Convicted in Mt. Ayr Banking Case
Mt Ayr Feb 2 Day Dunning former banker and respected citizen was convicted of fraudulent banking by a jury after seven and a half hours deliberation. First ballot 10 to 2 for conviction. Judge Evans to sentence Dunning, who headed the wrecked Citizens bank. Trial included arguments by Laughlin Maxwell Flick and McGinnis. An arrest of judgment was set for April 18 with a request for a possible sentence of a fine rather than prison.

Caton’s whereabouts are unknown.
