Automatic safety signal for autos inspired by railroads
An Illinois Central railroad conductor patented an automatic tail light signal for cars. The device, mounted on the rear license bracket, displays Stop in daylight and at night with internal lighting, activating when the brakes are applied. It enhances road safety by behaving like railroad semaphores without driver input.
