Christmas Convict Seeks Escape and a Ghost of Santa
A weary convict Mike Dempsey escapes Moorlands on a snowy December night. He finds a cottage with a family awaiting Santa and, after looting a dead man’s clothes, plans to slip away to freedom. He is spotted at the Jonesy cottage and captured. the firelight reveals the tragic twist that the real William Croker has frozen to death. Dempsey’s plan to steal gifts backfires as he ends up delivering the children’s presents before authorities take him away.
