Plans include through service via Chicago St Paul Waterloo Albert Lea and a new link to Peoria and St Louis with a gulf route extending toward New Orleans.
A serious shooting affray occurred in Forest City last week leaving city marshal Homer P. Miles seriously wounded. Blacksmith Jake Studer, after a days long debauch, ruined furniture and created distress for his family before the marshal arrived at the scene. The account ends with the marshal confronting the suspect at his home.
Titoaka Kruger, a farmer west of town, drank heavily at a Monday gathering and fell from his wagon, breaking his neck. Dr. Beane treated him. neighbors fear he may not survive. Also, Blanche Sleeper, a popular teacher, was kicked in the face by a horse at the outing club while riding a delivery wagon. She remains semi conscious and in serious condition.

One project by UW A Plummer Secor will be called Bluffer's repose, while Gilbertson Olson and others plan Duffer's retreat. Also notes a political stand against a constitutional amendment to elect all officers at once. The Fair Store advertises a footwear bargain with men's shoes priced at 1.95 after discounts.
