Aug 18 Davenport man Wil Van Bats i, linked to Van J on. & Marke grocery, was found wandering in a semi-lucid state after traveling from Davenport to Gluton for an event at Congressman Curtis. He demanded to see a witness and appeared convinced of a livery-stable setting, with friends taking charge. Looks Like a Double Murder
Aug 16 reports from the county recorder’s office show W F Nine and another suspect were arrested on charges of uttering forged deeds. A deed chain involving George R Sanderson, B Apple, and Nelson was questioned as Sanderson read transfers he had not signed.
