Two Boys Die In Floyd River Drowning
Alton Iowa Sept 27 Nick Jonas and Nick Hastert two 6 and 9 year old youths drowned in the Floyd River between Alton and Carnes Sunday night. Clothing found on the river bank led to a search and Jonas body recovered three quarters of a mile from the scene. Hastert’s body had not been found by noon today. Hastert resided in David City Nebraska and worked for his brother in law Peter Streff. Heavy rains swelled the Floyd and delayed searches.
