In a high speed auto accident in Oskaloosa Ta on November 12 Henry DeWitt assistant cashier of the Bank of Sully and Frank Sherman cashier were badly hurt when their car crashed into a telephone pole. It is believed steering gear failure caused the crash as they drove at top speed down the road.
John Tweed, 77, of Gladstone, and Mrs. Nancy Bush, 56, of Burlington, were married yesterday afternoon after meeting in a Burlington hospital where Tweed was ill. Tweed, a pioneer preacher, has lived in the area for sixty years. The couple will reside in Gladstone after a welding trip east.

In Moulton a 2 year old dies after taking tablets. A Moulton girl attempts suicide by chloroform following a quarrel with her lover.
Belle Plaine Iowa November report says Mrs H B Conklin feared her children were trapped in a room of her husband’s workshop. T Rejehl arrived in time and pulled her through a window to safety. Both suffered serious cuts from broken glass.
In Elkader Iowa on a November evening the mutilated body of farmer John T. Bolano was found in a roadside ditch seven miles from town. A brutal struggle is evident from the torn clothing and condition of the corpse, with a bloodied hammer located nearby.
