Explosion tragedy linked to thawing dynamite in Montana
A Montana letter details a blast that killed Harry Mathora and badly injured Will Brooks wife Manda after thawing dynamite on a stove. The explosion injured others, prompted a doctor visit, and left the community assisting the bereaved family including a hospital stay for Manda. Also noted is a local May 23 civil service exam for Algona post office clerk and carrier positions.
