A Milwaukee passenger train from the east collided with a mixed train at Beulah near McGregor on Monday morning. Conductor Taup on the mixed train was fatally injured, a brakeman badly hurt, and six passengers sustained bruises. West-bound car demolished. Conductor Milt Haup, longtime Irvington resident, known to local settlers, involved as the injured or affected party. his fate saddens friends.

Austin case ends in acquittal at busy court
Squire Austin's court was busy all day and ended with a verdict of acquittal. Sills farmed for Joe up north last year and did grain division work as well, then hiked for distant land after bargaining for the place another year. The case will go to district court.
