Waterloo Ta April 6 Holls H Bucklin of this place has had two large bull snakes removed from his stomach after fifteen years. The largest measured about three feet long and one inch in diameter the other eighteen inches and just over a half inch diameter. Removal followed six days of fasting and painful episodes. Bucklin says he can now eat three square meals daily and enjoys them as in days of old. Bucklin is a well known resident, about five feet tall and once weighed 185 pounds, though now lighter. He is quiet and straightforward with a yellowish complexion from long exposure to the reptiles.
Elmer S Arney, a Ferguson Iowa merchant formerly of Iowa Township, killed himself with a shotgun near his brother in law's home. No clear motive is given, though financial troubles are suspected. He leaves a wife and several children. Funeral plans were not yet made.
In Ringgold County records the Auditor J B Shedaker answers Frequently Asked questions about the new hot fond law from the last general assembly. Ambro 8. Park, ex manager for Town send Merrill at Voorhies Iowa, spent months in jail on embezzlement charges. He has repaid the shortage and costs, claims the funds were used to try to save his father’s life through a surgical operation. Park says he will seek work locally and strives to live down the disgrace. He is respected in Yoorhles where he lived.
Jesup farmer Nick Turned detective and traced Dr and Mrs Lawrence clairvoyants who robbed him of hundreds of dollars in Waterloo Iowa months earlier. He located the couple in Indiana after half a year pursuit and plans to secure extradition for their return to face imprisonment.
