Seniors in Dramatics at Alden High in 1934

A four year look at Alden High seniors in dramatics honors their declamatory record. Richard Harms led as an orator and Violet Crandall won several dramatic prizes while Naomi Smith and Erma Peterson also earned prizes. The seniors perform final play Miss Somebody Else on May 24 and 25.

Grade News Highlights Readings and Library Tour

McMahon Seeks Honorary Army Discharge After War Service

Joseph McMahon a 56 year old cigar maker from St Joseph formerly of Vil lisea is reported to have fought in the Philippine insurrection as a civilian hanger on and later received a gun uniform and kit. He sought an honorable discharge from the army though he never enlisted Congress is considering granting his discharge based on reports from Washington.

Faculty Birthdays Highlight A H S Teachers This Week

Seniors Celebrate Weisha at Iowa State College Parade and Events
