The National Labor Relations Board moves to reopen its probe into Ford Motor Company after Ford counsel sought to compel testimony from board members. The board asks Covington circuit court for leave to withdraw its enforcement petition from December, which ordered Ford to halt claimed Wag ner Act violations and rehire certain former employees. A separate cooperative pledge to recovery is issued by business leaders including Owen D Young and Winthrop Aldrich, urging government support and closer cooperation with business to boost prosperity.
