Mr and Mrs W J Attwooll marked their fiftieth wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter in Boone. Grandchildren Elizabeth Ann and Claude McAlpin sang Love's Old Sweet Song while daughter Mrs J A Spencer played Mendelssohn. The couple, married at Town Falls, have two children and four grandchildren. He, 76, and she, 70, reside with their daughter Mrs Ryan.

Butter Industry Dominates Iowa Manufacturing Mix
The Dairy and Food Division reports butter is Iowa second to packing in value, about 84 million dollars in 1927. Thirty eight percent came from 25 northeastern counties served mainly by cooperative creameries. Centralizers produced 88 million pounds, about 45 percent of state output, aided by 2,367 cream stations feeding 68 centralizer creameries.

Iowa Falls bachelor ends life after killing dog
Frank Ginn a 60 year old resident of Iowa Falls killed his dog with a strychnine dose on Wednesday night and later hanged himself in his room. The dog died, Ginn died at home, and coroner Wehrman deemed no inquest necessary. Ginn was held at the jail to appear before an insanity commission in Eldora. The Ginn family publishing tie was noted.

Desperate dynamite plot shocks Reinbeck locals
A car owned by Mrs. Hubert Young of Reinbeck was found with three loaded sticks of dynamite tied to the engine. The Ford was driven by Mrs. J. W. Orr of Waterloo who parked downtown. a fire extinguisher prevented ignition. No caps were attached, likely saving lives of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nelson and their two sons visiting Omaha.
