Funeral of W. W. Jones Held in Alden Friday
Funeral services for Warren W. Jones a Civil War veteran and Alden pioneer were conducted Friday at the A Bushman home with Rev J A Caskey presiding. Jones born June 8 1845 in New York enlisted in 1862 served nearly three years mustered out July 1865, married Jennie Bloom in 1874 and lived in Alden 53 years except five in the eighties in Florida. Interment followed in Alden cemetery beside wife and daughter. he held local posts including postmaster mayor and town clerk and was long connected with furniture undertaking and the cream station. Internment by Radiant Lodge A F & A M.
