County Secures 9700 Loan for Public Labor Projects

Deer Herds In Southwestern Iowa Noted By Residents
In southwestern Iowa deer herds inhabit several counties with a large group near Avoca and a larger one near Irwin. Smaller herds exist in the area. A deputy game warden has observed the winter behavior, noting the deer avoid crops and are not a nuisance.
