New Cases Filed for February Term of Court Eldora

A batch of filings for the February term of district court convening February 8 at Eldora includes a $10,000 damage suit by Leslie Johnson Cedar Falls against C. E. Greer Eldora for injuries from a wall collapse while loading at a store. Claude Koon Iowa Falls sues John M. Whiteside et al on a $555 note and mortgage foreclosure. W. C. Hilton Des Moines seeks $200 from Lehman Bakery Co. for a car damage in a February 5, 1931 collision. Boddy and Martin voted for the resolution while Chantrill opposed. Chantrill was elected chairman, succeeding Boddy.

Alden 4-H Club News Sees Year Reorganization

The Junior Livestock Farmers met December 29 at Alvin Smith's home with Rev. Wilkinson speaking on New Years Resolutions. The next meeting is January 12 at Gale Whistlers. The club will reorganize, elect officers, and candidates will give campaign speeches. Members urged to bring parents and another boy to boost the group.

The extension department highlighted memorials for George Washington and Gettysburg and State Journalistic awards were announced with Gale Whisler placing second. The session closed with officers elected and a strong spirit of cooperation.
