Funeral services were held in Alden for Mrs Henry Christensen born Oct 27 1891 in Eldora Iowa died Dec 25 1943 in Iowa Falls age 62. Interment in Alden Cemetery. She was a faithful Methodist worker married Oct 11 1905 and lived on farms near Alden before moving to Iowa Falls. Survived by husband three daughters Myrna Steinberg Eva Hankom Margaret Dunning son Raymond and four sisters and two brothers. Numerous relatives noted. Times for good printing.

Death claims a Buckeye township pioneer resident
Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Lettow were held December 27 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran in Buckeye with Rev. Leckband officiating. Burial followed in Buckeye cemetery. Born in 1854 in Germany, she and husband John A. Lettow emigrated to America in 1892, lived near Owasa, then moved to Buckeye township in 1899. She died December 24, 1943, at her grandson’s home, survived by multiple children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two sisters. Pallbearers were six grandsons.

Mrs Yaw Visits Husband at Yale Training Center
Mrs Yaw spent ten days during Christmas vacation with her husband at Seymour Johnson Field North Carolina. Accompanied by her brother-in-law Robert Yaw of Iowa Falls they returned home Monday. He is transferred to New Haven New York for special officers training at Yale University. Mrs Yaw will finish the semester in Grinnell then join him at Yale later.

Surgical Dressing Work To Resume Friday In Alden
War work in Alden resumes with surgical dressing sessions in library rooms from 7 to 10 pm on Fridays and Wednesdays beginning Jan. 7. After starting June 15, work moved upstairs, reaching 14,903 bandages folded and packed by 63 registered workers, with more volunteers needed and a Times name list forthcoming.
