Hartkopp death noted in early Iowa obituary item

Time extended for Red Cross Membership Drive

Headquarters has extended the Red Cross Membership Drive to January 1 to secure 100 percent enrollment amid bad roads and flu. Radcliffe reports 80 percent in our county, Alden 50 percent, with many families enrolling only one member. A 100 percent goal is urged to avoid a later larger drive and potential calls.

Christmas giving and yearend reflections at Congregational Church

Byron W. Northrop reports the Sunday school raised 40 for Armenian relief and praising the Christmas program. Despite bad weather a good crowd attended as the year ends, with a call to seek forgiveness and divine grace in the coming year.
