The American Bankers Association's protective department reports the six months ending last February saw the highest bandit activity on record. For member banks there were 311 forgery cases, 107 holdups, 16 burglaries, 2 sneak thefts, and 8 mortgage swindles, while non members suffered 86 holdups and 9 burglaries.
